All: thanks for being out there, for watching, sharing, listening, responding - it seems the world wide web has become a global campfire. We huddle at story-telling time, when darkness falls. Now, Val and Manny and I, we're returning to Vermont and then to France post-Halloween, to the land of temperate sunsets and nighttime and the 4 season-strong roller coaster ride. We have a huge garden back home to water and weed (a pumpkin patch) full of spinach and zucchini (and pumpkins) for Manny. Speaking of Harvest, if there's one thing Val Manny and I can take away from these past few weeks with "North", it's the following, and we'll make sure we share it with Manny later, in as many words - (We already have in action): "LISTEN to as many stories as you can, dude, especially from the people you meet, because together they make up the universe." We stole that one from Muriel Rukeyser("the Universe is made of stories, not atoms"). Let me amend that: stories without closure, free of sappy and predictable Hollywood endings, safe from tragic outcomes that ooze with righteous morals, or codes of obedience.
