Harding Ice field
More than 30 glaciers grace the slopes of coastal Kenai, they join in the middle and together form the 1000 square mile Ice field known as Harding Ice field. There's enough ice in it to cover the state of Rhode Island. To imagine the area, think of a yooge angel cake with loads of icing. The ice field is the middle of the cake, its center filled with ice, so much so it's overflowing, over the cake and down the other side, where you are, looking up, at its edge. Bon appétit!
